- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 medium carrots, diced

- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth

- 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- ½ cup milk or cream
- 4 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground meat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add onions, carrots, and garlic; sauté until softened (about 5 minutes).
- Stir in beef broth, thyme, and rosemary; bring to a gentle simmer.
- Boil potatoes until tender; drain and mash with milk or cream, butter, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Spread the meat mixture evenly in a baking dish; top with mashed potatoes and create swirls with a fork.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
