- 1 medium sweet onion, diced

- 1 cup sliced mushrooms (cremini or button)
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice each bell pepper in half lengthwise and remove seeds. Place cut side up in a baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Add diced onions and cook until translucent.
- Stir in mushrooms and garlic; sauté until mushrooms soften.
- Mix in Worcestershire sauce and Italian seasoning; season with salt and pepper.
- Fill each pepper half generously with the beef mixture and top with shredded cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
